I posted about a Killed by Death, etc. punk comp guide before. Well, here's another one that's also good.

I need to fix one wire connection, but other than that, my latest acquisition is pretty damn cool. Come over and play whenever you want, just call or email me first.

Piero Scaruffi is slowly getting his massive Storia della Musica Rock translated into English. I imagine that it's a great resource, since the Italian version has popped up in google and altavista searches for many years whenever I'm looking for info on some punk or new wave band. If you know both Italian and English reasonably well, please give him a hand.

The Mooney Suzuki is the leading contender for best live band around. They tore down the Galaxy last night even though the typical St. Louis crowd was motionless as ever. They are the kind of band I wish I was in.

Bratmobile followed them, and I can't believe I've lost track of them during the last 7 or so years. Another band that looks like they're actually having fun on stage! Maija talked to Alison briefly, so maybe she'll get a mention in her online tour diary, ooh!

The Donnas closed the show out as boringly as possible. I don't know if they consciously chose to slow every song down or if the drummer just sucks. And they used to be so much fun! Sad, but probably inevitable.

Maija's doing all the link-finding work these days. She told me about this punk pin-ups page. It's light on the US gals, but Penelope's there. Other personal faves are Tessa Pollit of the Slits and Gaye Advert, of course. There's a gallery of the boys, too.

He's got a pretty good punk site all around, although it's a bit heavy-handed with the whole British punk anti-pop nihilism deal.

Please go over to glish.com and vote on the new BNBH CD cover.

Then check out this snazzy Revillos site that Maija found!

BNBH just got some photos from local scene documenter Bob Reuter. Now we just have to get our CD finished.

This is the best of the bunch, but it's actually a picture of me during my last show with the Red Squares. I'm really anxious for them to start playing again.

And just so this post is not entirely an ego trip, I'm including a link to another cool mod/power pop site, Ready Steady Go!
